ADF Resources LLC Develops ‘A Journey We Share’ for Parents to Help Other Parents Cope With Grief

ADF Resources LLC has launched to offer support to parents and guardians who are grieving the loss of a child. The new organization plans to publish its first book in early 2022, titled “A Journey We Share,” and is seeking parents or guardians who have lost a child and are willing to share their stories. The book concept is the vision of Jimmy DeLoach Jr., president of ADF Resources and father of Abbie DeLoach, who was one of five Georgia Southern University nursing students who lost their lives in a tragic accident in 2015 due to a distracted driver.

“‘A Journey We Share’ will encourage parents and others grieving the loss of a child with stories of hope from those of us who are traveling the same road,” said DeLoach. “My request of parents or family members who, like me, have lost a child, is to share a story or memory about your child — along with inspiring words, observations or experiences that shined light and granted hope during the dark moments.”

DeLoach believes the book, when completed, will be like extending a hand to grieving loved ones that says, “Come along with us.” With 365 unique entries — one per page — the book will offer comfort and a way forward through daily meditations that span a full year. “As we journey through this one life together, there will be many days and nights that we feel we are the only ones battling the loneliness of our child’s death. The intention for the book is to help those who feel, at times, suffocated by grief,” said DeLoach, who is also a certified grief counselor.

The submission form with complete details on how to submit a 275-word story can be found on the book’s website: https://ajourneyweshare.com.
