JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — A homeowner along Pelton Court interrupted a burglar who tried to smash his way into his residence July 1.
The victim said he heard a loud crash from a back door. When he went downstairs to investigate, he found the glass door shattered and an unidentified man holding a flashlight climbing through the window. The suspect, described as a tall man dressed in all black, ran away upon seeing the homeowner.
Police said the victim’s security cameras showed the home invader walk toward the front door moments before the attempted burglary. He reappeared on camera about a minute later running back and forth before fleeing the scene. It was not clear what the suspect used to shatter the glass door.
