Kelly Jean Joanino (nee Goetz), July 6, 1984-September 14, 2021.

Kelly Jean Joanino of Elk Grove, California, passed away peacefully Sept 14, 2021. She was born July 6,1984 in Atlanta, GA, the firstborn of Jim and Chris (Wanamaker) Goetz and raised in Alpharetta, GA, with her siblings Jamie, Clay and Cole. Gifted in her studies, Kelly graduated from North Springs High School as part of the magnet program in math, science, & performing arts. After graduation, she moved to CA where she met her best friend & love of her life, Chris Joanino, whom she married on Aug 31, 2012. She was a devoted mother and passionate advocate for their two young daughters, Ryleigh and Daphne, and opened her home as a safe space to friends, family, and anyone who needed comfort or support. At the end of her life, Kelly received an Honor Walk from hospital staff to commemorate her final wishes to be an organ donor. Survivors include husband Chris Joanino, daughters Ryleigh & Daphne, parents Chris Goetz and Jim Goetz (wife Joy), siblings Jamie Goetz, Clay Goetz, and Cole Goetz. A large extended family mourns Kelly’s passing. She is preceded in death by grandparents Lee & Juanita Goetz, and Francis Patrick & Elizabeth Wanamaker.

In lieu of flowers, family asks donations be made in memory of Kelly Joanino to Girls Inc.

A viewing will be at East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA, 916-732-2031, on Sunday, Sept 26 from 1 to 4PM PST & Monday, Sept 27 from 5 to 8PM PST. Memorial Service will be Saturday, Oct 2 at 2PM PST at Piazza Sorrento Banquet Room, 4800 Perugia Street, Dublin, CA 94568.
