    GEORGIA — While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause economic headaches, state tax collections in June were down $187 million year-over-year, a decrease of 8.8 percent. Net tax collections for the 2020 fiscal year are down 4.4 percent with a drop of $1.04 billion in tax revenues.

    FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — When legislators return to the Gold Dome mid-June, they will have to pass a budget for the upcoming fiscal year that addresses the shortfall caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
