DUNWOODY, Ga. — A Norcross man contacted police March 1 after he lost $400 during an in-person swindle.

The man said he had used an app to find a potential buyer for his $1,200 MacBook and had scheduled a meeting for the purchase. He said he met the buyer in front of a Starbucks on Ashford Dunwoody Road.

The buyer gave the man a stack of cash, and as soon as he got the computer, the buyer ran to his car and sped away.

The man counted his money and realized he had only received about $800.
