New pray and play meadow for All Saints

All Saints’ pre-school director Hope Long was given flowers for the new garden.

All Saints Catholic Church has dedicated a Pray and Play Meadow in what the church describes as an overgrown and underused trail for the Stations of the Cross.

The pre-school at All Saints was awarded a $4000 grant from the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia to help pay for a space for play, prayer and discovery in a natural setting.

After the meadow was blessed last month by the church’s pastor, the pre-school director, Hope Long, was surprised by his praise for her vision and by children who brought her a camellia and daffodil bulbs wrapped in burlap.

All Saints hopes the meadow becomes a model for other Catholic churches.
