On Monday, November 22, 2021 the United States Naval Academy (Annapolis) will hold a public informational meeting in the Business Center Suite of the Cherokee County Office Building, 1130 Bluffs Parkway, Canton, Georgia from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Students interested in learning more about possibly becoming a midshipman at Annapolis, as well as parents, teachers, guidance staffs, and the general public are invited to meet current Midshipman Jennifer Harnage, a member of USNA Class of 2024.  Harnage is a resident of Marietta, and a 2020 graduate of Hillgrove High School.  She is majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in the Arabic language.  Upon graduation, she will be commissioned as a United States Marine Corps second lieutenant.  Once commissioned, she looks forward to flight training at Pensacola, Florida and becoming a Marine Corps aviator, possibly flying the MV-22 aircraft; a multi-mission, tiltrotor military aircraft with both vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) and short takeoff and landing aircraft. At the Naval Academy, Harnage is a member of the intermural sailing team, and is an avid mountaineer.

MIDN Harnage is prepared to talk about life at Annapolis and the nomination and application process.
