The Cottage School (TCS) announces the return of a longtime North Fulton family favorite, Together We Are Running The Big Pumpkin 5k 2021. After the Return of the Big Pumpkin in 2019, with more than 500 participants, organizers predicted that the 2020 event would be even bigger and better. Despite the challenges of 2020, The Big Pumpkin 5k Virtually Real Run was a successful virtual event using an online application that recorded running times for accurate category winners. “The Cottage School is very grateful for the support of the community,” says Dr. Steven Palmer, the Head of School for The Cottage School. “Thanks to those who participated virtually we were able to keep the event alive and spirits up. Everyone loves the Big Pumpkin!” With a new start comes a new location. The race will commence at Riverside Park in Roswell which offers a flat, fast course for those determined to best their running times and win the ever-favorite bobble head trophy! “The bobble head trophy has been a tradition for the Big Pumpkin Run from the beginning,” explains Mike Buckelew, the original race creator. “We know the runners love it and I am glad TCS carries on the tradition.” We are fortunate to have many returning sponsors this year and some new friendly faces. Barnes Young Keller Williams, Bob Hagan, AOT (Atlanta Office Technologies), Roof Depot, Savant, Big Peach Running, Speed Auto Repair, Lucky’s Burger and Brew of Roswell, and CrossFit North Fulton are all supporting the event again. New sponsors include Lidl US and Serenity Social. Sponsorship opportunities are still available, contact Kim Weber for more information ( Registration is open, so get online and register today!
